A Safety Framework for Critical Systems Utilising Deep Neural Networks

It is our pleasure to announce the publication of “A Safety Framework for Critical Systems Utilising Deep Neural Networks” by Dr. Xingyu Zhao of the Smart Systems Group, in collaboration with partners at the University of Liverpool and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL). This research paper will be published in Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes for Computer Sciences (LNCS) proceedings for the 39th International Conference on Computer, Safety Reliability and Security (SafeComp).

Established in 1979 by the European Workshop on Industrial Computer Systems, Technical Committee 7 on Reliability, Safety and Security (EWICS TC7), SafeComp has contributed to the progress of the state-of-the-art in dependable application of computers in safety-related and safety-critical systems.

SafeComp is an annual event covering the state-of-the-art, experience and new trends in the areas of safety, security and reliability of critical computer applications. This event provides researchers and industry delegates the opportunity to exchange insights and experience on emerging methods, approaches and practical solutions.

This conference was intended to be held in Lisbon, Portugal from 15th to 18th September 2020, however, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, SafeComp 2020 will be organised as a virtual conference.

We look forward to providing a link to this impactful research once published online.
