Matthew Osborne, Jenny Lantair and a number of their colleagues have collated the results from their first “Drone Safety and Reliability Survey”.

They surveyed Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) registered commercial operators who fly drones in the ever more complex and congested airspace of Britain. The survey aimed to collate the various failure modes currently observed, as well as to prioritise subsystems observed by these commercial operates. These commercial operators provide a huge range of different services across numerous sectors.
