Professor David Flynn will represent the Smart Systems Group and Heriot-Watt University at the Network Awards 2020, as a finalist in the Partner Initiative of the Year in collaboration with Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN).

The Network Awards reward individuals and organisations who have demonstrated exceptional performance in the energy networks space. Now in its second year, the Network Awards are back with 15 categories, recognising network operators, the supply chain, contractors and local authorities who are involved in shaping the energy system.

The Network Awards honours the amazing people, teams, projects and innovations that have helped shape the energy industry. Beyond being a vehicle for celebrating and showcasing excellence, the Awards represent a great networking opportunity. With all of the networks in attendance and more than 300 industry professionals there on the night, the event on the 17th March 2020 represents an opportunity to meet new partners and celebrate the success of the industry together.
