Professor David Flynn , founder and director of the smart systems group, is referenced within the Interface 2019-2020 Annual Review, as a winner of the Knowledge Exchange Champion award. This award recognises a long standing track record of leading Scottish academics with successful research impact in collaboration with industry.

Prof Flynn stated “It’s an honour to be referenced within this annual report which captures many examples of the benefits to industry, academia and society of strategic partnerships between academics and industrial innovators. Well done to the Interface team for their 15 years of supporting such partnerships.”
