New Publication: Prognostics and Health Management for the Optimization of Marine Hybrid Energy Systems

In 2018, Heriot-Watt University won the British Renewable Energy Association (BREA) award for the decarbonisation of transport, recognising quality, commitment and innovation in low carbon vehicles – cars, vans, buses, road freight or on farm vehicles, powered by clean electricity or sustainable biofuels – and alternative vehicle fuels.

We are very pleased to now provide open access to some of our key findings and methodology in “Prognostics and Health Management for the Optimization of Marine Hybrid Energy Systems“.

Using real vessel data, we developed a complex optimisation that supported the energy demand, decarbonisation and optimal health management of key assets.

Well done to Wenshuo TangDarius RomanRoss Dickie, Valentin Robu and David Flynn for their recent publication in MDPI Energies, as part of the Special Issue, Machine Learning Applications in Power System Condition Monitoring.
